Many of us replace their old computer equipment such as laptops, computers and screens every few years and the old ones sit around in lofts and cupboards until consigned to the tip.

Just give us a call or e-mail us with a description of the item ie model make, all working, accessories defects etc. We will get back to you with an estimated buy price based on your information then come and pick it up or arrange for a courier.
If the item is as described the quote will be honoured and the money sent either directly to you bank account or via paypal if you prefer. |

Many organisations with multiple PCs and servers quickly lose track of the exact hardware specification the machines were built to. Even when this is available they may have been upgraded and of course many have a wide range of different software installed.  Our new Audit service is a quick and efficient way to audit your entire inventory of machines and have a report produced for each specific computer. This report will show a huge range of key items including:- Installed software, System overview, Operating system, Security information, Network information, Windows configuration and log files, hardware information on drives, processors, BIOS details, memory installed printers etc For a simple one off fee we will run our software on your computers ( this runs from a memory stick and is not installed at all on the systems) and provide you with full reports on each. Reports can be in a variety of formats from CSV to XML and PDF. This means you can easily import them into a spreadsheet or database and have a fully upto date inventory in a fraction of the time it would take to maually check and report on each machine. Note if all options are selected for the report there is a lot of data produced for each system - this may make building an inventory more complicated. We recommend keeping a full PDF report of each machine then re running the audit only selecting hardware and software for example to make the creation of an electronic inventory easier. Keep your data safe and de-clutter |

Many companies and individuals have old computers in storage because they conc erned about the data on the old hard disks falling into the wrong hands.
If this is the case give us a call and we can arrange for the secure disposal of the machine for you or explain to you how to go about it yourself. Hard disks will be cleansed of data using military grade removal proceedures or be removed and physically destroyed. The rest of the system will be disposed of in a legal and environmentally friendly way and recycled where possible. We will then e-mail you a PDF statement that the data has been destroyed for your compliance records.

Revive an old computer with Linux |

Many of us have old laptops or desktop computers that are a bit too old and slow to run the likes of Windows Vista, these are often retired to the darkest cupboard, store room or loft. 
What you may not realise is that many of these machines can be given a new lease of life by installing a Linux system. Linux generally runs on significantly lower powered machines than windows and uses less memory and hard disk space. Rejuvenated machines make great tools for web browsing and word processing, e-mailing etc. Linux is a free operating system and often comes with all the packages you will need pre-installed. Linux is inherently much less prone to viruses and malware and is renowned as a very secure operating system. If you have an old machine lying unwanted and unloved give us a call and we will evaluate the possibility of installing Linux on it. the evaluation is free - you just pay for the delivery to us. If the machine is suitable we will install Linux and test the system for a fixed price provided to you after the evaluation. If you decide not to go ahead we will return it to you (You just pay for the delivery) or for a small fee, dispose of it for you making sure the hard disks are physically destroyed to protect your data and privacy. |
